Karnataka is not just a state on the map, it is a land of stories, colours, rhythm, and legacy. Through its vibrant folk dances, Karnataka celebrates its rich history, deep-rooted traditions, and the spirit of its people. In “siri sambharama”, our stage transforms into a living canvas of culture, where every movement tells a tale of harvests and heroes, festivals and faith, devotion and dance. From the powerful beats of Dollu Kunitha, to the graceful swirls of Veeragase, to the joyous energy of Yakshagana, each performance reflects the essence of Karnataka’s diverse regions and communities.

Origami papers (square, different colors), Scissors, glue, marker, No pre-folded models allowed

Activity Overview

The dance should represent any authentic folklance form of Karnataka.
The performance must align with the theme “Glory of Karnataka”, highlighting the culture, tradition, festivals, values of the state through folk dance.
Only pre-recorded music is allowed. It must be submitted on the day of the event in advance on a USB drive to Event Incharge 1hr before the start of the event.
Use of traditional musical instruments or props (e.g., drums, sticks, masks, cymbals) is encouraged.
All props must be carried and handled only by the participating students
No dangerous, flammable, or sharp props are permitted.
Costumes must be traditional and appropriate to the selected dance form of Karnataka.
Make-up, headgear, and ornaments should reflect regional authenticity.
Teams must report to the venue 30 minutes before their slot.
Any vulgarity, disrespectful content, or non-folk-based fusion will lead to disqualification.
The decision of the judges will be final and binding. Judgement Criteria
