A Jugalbandi means ‘entwined twins’, it also means a friendly competition. In an era of Coke Studio performances that harness the talent of noteworthy artists, and celebrates diverse music, Rhythmania, aims to present an eccentric combo of Maths and Music. This is designed to celebrate creativity, teamwork and innovation while highlighting the diversity of ideas and talents. So let’s unwind and allow Mathematical Jugalbandi to mesmerize us all!!

Materials

Musical instruments, props, costumes and any additional materials required for the performance.

Activity Overview

The performance should creatively integrate mathematical concepts such as progressions and patterns into their musical presentation.
Instrumental music should emphasize rhythm and timing corresponding to the chosen mathematical theme.
Each performance should be exactly 4 minutes. Exceeding the time limit will attract a penalty.
Teams should bring the required instruments, props, and costumes.
All performances must be original. Plagiarism or copying of content from existing performances will lead to disqualification
The content must be appropriate for a school environment. Inappropriate material will result in disqualification
Safety is paramount—ensure that all props and instruments are safe.
Teams will be given 1 minute to resolve any technical issues. If unresolved, the performance must continue. Rescheduling will be at the judges' discretion.
